Frequently Asked Questions

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a modern orthodontic treatment that uses clear, removable aligners to straighten teeth gradually. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible and custom-made for a comfortable fit.

Invisalign aligners apply gentle pressure to move your teeth into the desired position over time. You’ll receive a series of aligners, each worn for about two weeks before switching to the next set in the series.

  • Virtually Invisible – Clear aligners are discreet and blend with your natural teeth.
  • Removable – You can take them out when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
  • Comfortable – Smooth plastic aligners reduce irritation compared to metal braces.
  • Fewer Appointments – No tightening or adjustments, just progress check-ups.

The duration of treatment varies based on the complexity of your case. On average, Invisalign treatment takes 12 to 18 months, but some cases may be shorter or longer.

Invisalign is generally more comfortable than traditional braces. You may experience slight pressure or mild discomfort when switching to a new aligner, but this usually subsides within a few days.

For the best results, you should wear your Invisalign aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day, only removing them for eating, drinking (except water), and oral hygiene.

If you lose an aligner, contact us immediately. In some cases, we may advise wearing the previous aligner or moving to the next one, depending on your progress.
